Veteran actor Anupam Kher recently opened up about the warmth and camaraderie of the early days of Bollywood and recalled a memorable moment he had with Shah Rukh Khan when the latter claimed he was the last superstar.

In a candid chat with Siddharth Kannan, Anupam, who is currently promoting his upcoming film ‘Tanvi The Great’, spoke about how much before vanity vans and mobile phones became common, the film industry thrived on true relationships.

Recalling a memorable episode from his talk show, Anupam said, “Our relationships are built on true relationships. Neither we had vanity vans, nor mobiles, we had relationships. Shah Rukh Khan said ‘I am the last superstar’ on my show, and I think he was right in what he said.”

Anupam praised the enduring stardom of stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. He said, “Their stardom is timeless. In particular, Mr Bachchan is a shining example of someone who has faced tough times and risen again like a true legend.”
