The first-ever robotic-assisted surgery was performed in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, which was a medical first and a major advancement for the area’s healthcare system. During a three-day Workshop-cum-Demo hosted by Merit Endo Surgery, the historic procedure was carried out, bringing the human extension robotic arm to the Islands for the first time. In order to introduce medical professionals to the most recent developments in robotic-assisted surgery, the workshop gave gynecologists and surgical departments live demonstrations.
