Ajay Devgn’s latest crime thriller, ‘Raid 2’, has made a strong impact at the box office, collecting ₹32.76 crore within its first two days of release.

Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film is a sequel to the 2018 hit ‘Raid’, where Devgn reprises his role as IRS officer Amay Patnaik, known for his fearless pursuit of financial corruption. The movie opened to impressive numbers, earning ₹19.71 crore on its first day, followed by ₹13.05 crore on the second day.

Despite a slight dip in earnings on Day 2, ‘Raid 2’ continues to draw audiences, particularly during prime-time screenings. The film’s Hindi occupancy rate stood at 19.23% overall, with night shows witnessing the highest turnout at 35.70%.

Trade analysts have praised the film’s performance, noting that it has outperformed Ajay Devgn’s previous releases, including ‘Drishyam 2’ and ‘Tanhaji’, in terms of opening-day collections.

Alongside Ajay Devgn, the film features Riteish Deshmukh as the antagonist and Vaani Kapoor in a pivotal role. The plot follows Amay Patnaik as he investigates a powerful politician whose clean image hides deep-rooted corruption.

With the weekend ahead, ‘Raid 2’ is expected to cross the ₹50 crore mark, provided it maintains its current momentum.
