Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) has reported a 30% year-on-year growth in its operational capacity, reaching 14,243 megawatts (MW) in FY25. The company’s expansion is driven by significant additions in solar and wind power projects, reinforcing its position as a leading renewable energy player in India.

Operational solar capacity increased to 10,103 MW, up from 7,393 MW in FY24. Wind capacity grew to 2,000 MW, compared to 1,401 MW a year ago. The hybrid capacity remained unchanged at 2,140 MW. AGEL anticipates further growth, with an additional 1,000 MW nearing completion, which will push its total operational capacity beyond 15,000 MW. The company’s expansion strategy includes greenfield projects across Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Andhra Pradesh, contributing to India’s renewable energy goals.

Industry experts view AGEL’s growth as a significant step toward strengthening India’s clean energy infrastructure. The company’s focus on solar and wind power aligns with the country’s commitment to achieving sustainable energy targets.
