The urgent problem of drug addiction and the planning for the next Independence Day celebration were the main topics of the Andaman and Nicobar Jeep Driver Welfare Union’s (ANJDWU) awareness meeting held at the Community Hall in Ograbraj. As the Chief Guest, Mr. N.S. Stalin, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Ograbraj, spoke to a group of union members and jeep drivers. He emphasized the concerning effects of drug abuse on people, families, and society as a whole in his keynote address. In addition to highlighting the responsibility of drivers, he discussed how crucial it is to follow traffic safety regulations in order to maintain a safe and orderly road environment.

The gathering also provided a forum for talking about cooperative efforts to ensure that August 15th’s Independence Day celebrations run smoothly. Ideas about how the Union can support the national event’s observance were shared by the participants. ANJDWU President Mr. C. Mohd Arif expressed gratitude to SHO Mr. N.S. Stalin for his inspiring and educational speech. Additionally, he praised the SHO for his persistent efforts to uphold law and order as well as his enthusiastic participation in community-focused projects.
